Epoxy Bond 8

Description

Epoxy Bond 8 is a two component, high solids, structural adhesive for bonding new concrete to old existing concrete. Epoxy-Bond is used when high temperature conditions exist and when a long pot-life epoxy is needed.

Basic Uses

Epoxy-Bond is used for positive bonding of new concrete to old, eroded or spalled concrete surfaces. It can be used for remedial maintenance, waterproofing and restoration of all concrete surfaces.

Coverage

As bonding agent, coverage will vary between 60-80 square feet per gallon for rough surfaces; 80-150 square feet per gallon on smoother surfaces.

Limitations

Application at ambient temperature below 40 degrees F. is not recommended. Exposure to temperatures exceeding 150 degrees F. for prolonged periods is not recommended.

Surface Preparation

Surfaces of application should be clean and sound. Use conventional cleaning methods such as acid etching or mechanical scarification. Surface may be dry or damp, but free of standing water.

Mixing Instructions

1. Stir each component separately
2. Mix 1 part of BASE to 1 part of REACTOR by volume and mix completely until streak free

Application

Mixed material may be applied by brush, roller or spray. After applying epoxy bonding agent, allow it to set for 15-20 minutes so that it becomes a little tacky.
Fresh concrete should be placed within 2 hours after coating @ 77 degrees F. , or before Epoxy-Bond becomes tack free.

Pot Life

8 hours@73 F.
