Epoxy-Flex . Low Mod

Description

EPOXY-FLEX LOW MOD is a two component, 100% solids, low modulus epoxy coating, adhesive, and binder. It is a moisture insensitive, stress relieving formulation, resistant to thermal and mechanical movements. The viscosity is similar to heavy motor oil.

Product Use

Flexibility and elongation make EPOXY-FLEX ideal for use as a binder for patching, waterproofing and sealing of all concrete surfaces that are exposed to stresses of impact or thermal change. Being moisture insensitive, the epoxy can be used on dry or wet surfaces.

Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be cleaned thoroughly to ensure bonding to substrate. Use conventional cleaning methods (acid etching or mechanical scarification). Surface may be damp or dry, but must be free of standing water.

Mixing Instructions

1. Stir each component separately.
2. Blend 2 parts of base to 1 part of reactor by volume and mix completely. Make sure to scrape sides and bottom of mixing vessel.
3. When preparing grout, mix in 3 parts of aggregate to 1 part mixed epoxy using a slow speed drill with paddle.

Application

  1. As a coating: Apply with brush, roller or squeegee. Coverage is 100-150 square feet per gallon. If a second coat is needed, it can be applied while the first coat is still tacky. To skid-proof surface, broadcast coarse sand, emery or carborundum on surface while coating is still wet.

  2. As an adhesive: Apply meet EPOXY-FLEX with a brush onto both surfaces to be bonded. Please surfaces together and secure while coating is still wet.

  3. As a Grout: Fill crack or hole with mortar; tamp and strike off level with surrounding surface.
