Description
EPOXY-GEL PATCH is a two-component, equal volume mix epoxy with
thoroughly dispersed fillers and aggregate pre-blended into the system. It is a
100% solids epoxy product that contains no solvents. Epoxy-Gel Patch is a
non-sag epoxy paste that has a consistency of peanut butter.
Basic
Use
EPOXY-GEL PATCH was designed for general repair and
maintenance of concrete or masonry. It is ideal for filling cracks, voids, and
other defects in concrete, bricks or block structures. EPOXY-GEL PATCH can be
used for bonding concrete to concrete, bricks to concrete or ceramic tiles to
floors. The bond strength far exceeds that of concrete. EPOXY-GEL PATCH
provides total waterproofing. It can be used as a sealer around the periphery
of below grade areas at the junctures of walls and floors. GEL-PATCH has
excellent adhesion and is non-shrinking, which assures permanent repairs of
small holes, depressions, and slapped areas.
Limitations
Do not use when surface and air
temperatures are below 42 degrees F.
Exposure to temperatures exceeding 150
degrees for long periods of time is not recommended.
Surface
Preparation
Surface must be clean, sound and dry. Dirt, dust,
rust, oils, old coatings and other contaminants should be removed before
applying EPOXY-GEL PATCH. The best methods for preparing the surface are
shot blasting, aqua-blasting or acid etching.
Mixing
Instructions
1. Blend equal volumes of base with reactor
2.
Mix thoroughly with a slow speed drill equipped with a mixing paddle. Be sure
to mix sides and bottom of container
3. Epoxy-Gel Patch should be a uniform
streak-free color when mixed properly.
