Description
Flex-Epoxy is a
100% solids, two component, equal volume elastic type epoxy. If is a
self-leveling system used for saw-cut control joints and grooves in masonry.
Basic Uses
Flex-Epoxy is recommended for use as a
filter and sealer for narrow masonry control joints and grooves to prevent
damage to the joint and its edges as well as promote a clean sanitary surface.
Due to its tenacious bonding quality and high strength, it reinforces the joint
and edges, preventing deterioration. Flex Epoxy seals and protects against
water, foreign matter and corrosive elements.
Limitations
Do not apply when concrete is less
than 7 days old. Do not apply when temperatures is less than 50 degrees F.
Flex-Epoxy is designed for areas where ultimate movement is less than 10%. Do
not use in areas subject to constant immersion.
Surface Preparation
Area must be clean,
sound and dry. Conventional cleaning methods used are acid etching, shot
blasting or aqua-blasting. Saw-cut joints should be blown clean and dry with
compressed air to remove all excess moisture and debris.
Mixing Instructions
1. Stir each component separately 2. Blend 1 part of
base to 1 part of reactor by volume and mix completely.
