Flexible Epoxy Loop Sealant

Description

Flexible Epoxy Loop Sealant is a medium viscosity, rapid setting, 100% solids, flexible epoxy system. The rapid cure allows for minimum traffic delay. F.E.L.S. is suitable for use in freeze-thaw areas and may be used on grades up to 15%.

Basic Uses

Flexible Epoxy Loop Sealant's main use is in sealing inductive wire loops, leads for traffic controls and vehicle counters imbedded in asphalt concrete and Portland cement concrete. It may be used for repair work existing spalls, cracks and other deformations in and around saw-cuts housing inductor loops and leads.

Limitations

Should not be applied at temperatures below 30 degrees F. Do not mix more than can be applied in minutes.

Installation

Saw-Cuts blown clean and dry with compressed air to remove all excess moisture and debris. For preparing damaged saw-cuts, all loose spalled material shall be cleaned away from saw-cut, chipped back to sound asphalt or concrete and all material cleaned away from loop wires

Application

Simply pour mixed Flexible Epoxy Loop Sealant into saw-cut. It will self-level out. Smooth it out with a trowel or putty knife. For repair of spalls, add 2-3 parts of fine sand to mix and apply with trowel.
