Description
Flexible Epoxy Loop Sealant is a medium viscosity, rapid setting, 100%
solids, flexible epoxy system. The rapid cure allows for minimum traffic delay.
F.E.L.S. is suitable for use in freeze-thaw areas and may be used on grades up
to 15%.
Basic Uses
Flexible Epoxy Loop Sealant's
main use is in sealing inductive wire loops, leads for traffic controls and
vehicle counters imbedded in asphalt concrete and Portland cement concrete. It
may be used for repair work existing spalls, cracks and other deformations in
and around saw-cuts housing inductor loops and leads.
Limitations
Should not be applied at temperatures
below 30 degrees F. Do not mix more than can be applied in minutes.
Installation
Saw-Cuts blown clean and dry
with compressed air to remove all excess moisture and debris. For preparing
damaged saw-cuts, all loose spalled material shall be cleaned
away from saw-cut, chipped back to sound asphalt or concrete and all
material cleaned away from loop wires
Application
Simply pour
mixed Flexible Epoxy Loop Sealant into saw-cut. It will self-level out. Smooth
it out with a trowel or putty knife. For repair of spalls, add 2-3 parts of
fine sand to mix and apply with trowel.
